Raquel conducts original research with college-seeking students, parents, and high school counselors to
understand trends in student and family behaviors. Her research informs and enhances the services RNL
provides and helps institutions benchmark their current practices.
Raquel received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in linguistics from the Universidad de Salamanca
(Salamanca, Spain). She went on to receive a master’s degree in education from Ashland University
(OH), a certificate in educational leadership from the University of South Florida, and a doctorate in
education from The University of Sarasota (FL).
Raquel taught Spanish (K-12) for 10 years and has been an adjunct instructor in teacher preparation
programs for the last 15 years.
