Ravi Pelodia is a Senior Principal Piping Engineer at Worley Group with over 21 years of experience in the design, execution, and safe operation of large-scale Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical, and refinery facilities. He has held senior technical leadership roles, including Piping Engineering Lead, Lead PMC Piping Stress Engineer, Principal Engineer, and Senior Piping Stress Analyst, across globally recognized engineering organizations such as Worley, Bechtel, Technip, and Samsung Engineering.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pelodia has contributed to multi-billion-dollar megaprojects worldwide, delivering technically complex piping systems involving high-temperature, high-pressure, and cryogenic services. His expertise includes advanced piping stress analysis, dynamic and transient analysis, turbine and compressor piping qualification, and stress-critical system design that directly impacts plant reliability, safety, and operability. His work has supported major process units such as CDU/VDU units, hydrocrackers, hydrogen generation units, LNG liquefaction trains, storage tank farms, gas treatment systems, and compressor facilities.
In senior leadership and PMC roles, Mr. Pelodia has managed large, multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinated global workshare execution, and exercised technical authority in reviewing and approving contractor deliverables across multiple countries, including the United States, Italy, Spain, Korea, India, and China. He has led piping engineering efforts for major energy clients such as Shell, ExxonMobil, Saudi Aramco, BP, BAPCO, Reliance Industries, and Venture Global LNG, ensuring compliance with international codes and project-specific standards.
Mr. Pelodia is known for delivering technically sound and practical engineering solutions, including optimized piping layouts, effective support strategies, and mitigation of dynamic and operational loads. His leadership has contributed to improved constructability, operational efficiency, safety performance, and cost control on complex industrial projects.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Oil & Gas) from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, India, a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani), India, and is a certified Project Management Professional.
