Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, numerous plane crashes are just some of the incidents where human error is listed as a cause of record. However, when we look deeper and consider what is know about human decision-making, we can see how the design of systems leads to human errors. Understanding human decision-making can help us to design amazing socio-technical systems. At the end of this highly interactive session you will be amazed at the human ability to recognize patterns, know how stress and workload can impact ability to make decisions, and understand how to incorporate this information to create products and services people want to use.
