Rebekah Pope (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who leads school-based mental health and youth suicide prevention initiatives with the Sonoma County Office of Education. She coordinates the county’s System of Support, a network of crisis response agencies that assist schools during times of need. Drawing on her experience building prevention, early intervention, and healing-centered programs within both Special Education settings and comprehensive campuses, Rebekah is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive learning environments for all students. She volunteers with Paws As Loving Support, integrating canine-assisted therapy into schools to promote emotional wellness.

Foundations of Mental Health

Introductory mental health content in high school classrooms is increasingly necessary, and absolutely possible.

Learn about Foundations of Mental Health, a new tool developed (1) to meet SB224 requirements, and (2) in response to widespread student, teacher, and parent requests.

Curriculum topics include wellness, coping skills, overcoming stigma, understanding common mental illnesses, how and where to access support.
