Ricardo Jesus received his MSc degree in Computer and Telematics Engineering in 2019 from the University of Aveiro. Since 2020 he is a PhD student at Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC), The University of Edinburgh, where he works on software optimisations for Arm-based supercomputers. His current research interests are centred on performance analysis and optimisation, high-performance parallel programming languages and runtimes, novel HPC programming models, and computational maths. He has interned at NVIDIA where he worked on the LLVM backend and scheduling models for AArch64 targets.
