Richard Abrich is a Principal AI Engineer at ziggiz, where he develops foundational AI systems for cybersecurity in partnership with Palantir and Databricks, focusing on unstructured data pipelines, semantic reasoning across heterogeneous schemas, and natural language interfaces. Concurrently, he is the Founder and CTO of OpenAdapt.AI, building an open-source generative process automation system to automate desktop tasks.

With deep experience in applying state-of-the-art AI/ML to solve high-value problems, Richard previously led the creation of an acquired neurological diagnostic AI for Cleveland Clinic Innovations, architected a human-in-the-loop insurance estimation system delivering $20M+ annual savings, and founded the AI consultancy MLDSAI Inc. After earning his M.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto in computer engineering specializing in medical imaging and machine learning, he deferred a PhD acceptance at Mila (Yoshua Bengio) to join AI robotics startup Kindred.ai as an early employee (acquired for $262M).
