Oseni Ridwan Damilola is a passionate and emerging geoscientist with a strong foundation in geospatial analysis, petrophysics, seismic interpretation, and static reservoir modeling. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Olabisi Onabanjo University. Ridwan is currently a researcher with DigGeoNaija Limited and is also undergoing his National Youth Service (NYSC) at Dharmattan Nigeria Limited.
With hands-on experience in industry-standard tools such as Techlog, Petrel, QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and Google Earth Engine, Ridwan has contributed to projects spanning land use and land cover analysis, geotourism and geoheritage, environmental conservation, well log analysis, and seismic interpretation. During his time as a GIS Intern at DigGeoNaija, he led geospatial data initiatives and played a key role in the development of Nigeria’s first Geospatial Atlas. His research works has been published in reputable platforms including Urban Climate, and Zenodo, with a focus on climate change, land use dynamics, and geoheritage conservation.
Ridwan is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). He brings a unique blend of technical expertise, research insight, and collaborative leadership to his work and is driven by a commitment to applying geoscience to address critical energy and environmental challenges in Nigeria and globally.
