Getting Started with Accessibility

Accessibility is not an option; it’s a must have. Making a website accessible is not one person’s responsibility, it should be a shared goal. We all work on websites/software with legacy code, shared code, and it’s not easy to go back to converting a website into an accessible one. In the USA itself, the number of lawsuits filed because a website was inaccessible..has increased a lot in the last 3 years.

They say, “Take the first step.” Hear the story of how we took the initiative of making Quizlet accessible by becoming Level A compliant. Quizlet, currently used by over 50 million users per month, provides simple learning tools that let you study anything. In this session, we'll learn about how to get started with accessibility and the various tools available at your disposal including but not limited to Chrome devtools, AXE Extensions, testing libraries, etc.
