After studying at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau and the TU Ilmenau, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Täschner accepted the appointment of Professor of Microsystems Technology and Cyber Physical Systems at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau in 2020 after more than ten years of development and research in the field of MEMS sensor technology at the CiS research institute for microsensors. The Microsystems Technology and Cyber Physical Systems working group, which he heads, mainly deals with issues in the fields of semiconductor process technology, microsensor technology.

HTZ: The new high-tech centre at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau

The HTZ is the new high-tech centre of the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau that will open in 2026. The talk will focus on a short introduction into the capabilities of this core facility especially regarding the new MEMS and NEMS cleanroom for research, education and qualification. It will further give an outlook to the planned add-ons in the field of applied AI and the All Electric Society.
