Dr. Roberta Scott is a distinguished passionate educator with 20 years of expertise in administration, counseling, leadership and teaching. She is the Vice President for National Partnership – RethinkED. Previously she served as the Director for the Social and Emotional Learning/Student Discipline overseeing Mental and Behavioral Health initiatives for the 7th largest school district in the nation. Dr. Scott also currently serves as Adjunct Professor with Texas Southern University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Texas Southern University; a master’s in counseling and doctoral degree in educational leadership both from Prairie View A&M University. She contributes and adds value to a host of other committees. Dr. Scott has authored and co-authored over 7 books. She has received numerous honors, and shares her expertise with others by teaching seminars, public speaking events, and serving on a range of educational committees.

Research with more than 1,000 educators suggested that professional development in SEL and mental health solutions may be linked to reduced stress and burnout and higher job satisfaction.
