Robert Sirchia is an experienced technology professional and open-source advocate with more than 20 years in software development, cloud computing, and community leadership. He has specialized in .NET and Microsoft technologies before shifting to cloud platforms, including Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes, where he has led large-scale modernization initiatives and built cloud practices involving service offerings, training, and marketing. Previously, he served as Head of Ecosystem and Community Marketing (and earlier in community evangelism and technical evangelist roles) at SUSE, Principal Architect at Advizex, and Practice Lead at Magenic. His work has spanned industries such as real estate, financial services, energy, and chemicals. A maintainer of the Helm project (the Kubernetes package manager) and contributor within the CNCF ecosystem, Sirchia is also a public speaker, writer, and developer focused on technical marketing, developer relations, and open-source communities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on management information systems from Kent State University and is based in the Columbus, Ohio area.
