Robin Kingston is a certified registered nurse practitioner at a Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Penn State Children’s Hospital. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Bloomsburg University in 1990 and in 2002 received a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College. She has national certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She coordinates the care of approximately 90 ventilator dependent children in the Pediatric Home Ventilator Program.
Robin has been very involved in the promotion of Advanced Practice at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She has been a part of the Advanced Practice Clinician’s Council now known as the Advanced Practice Advisory Board since its inception. She has served as a member, co-chair, chair, past chair and now historian for the board. Robin has served on many of its subcommittees including Roles, Awards and Recognition, Onboarding, Focus on Pharmacology Planning Committee as well as the Professional Advancement Model working group and is now Chair of the Professional Advancement Model Review Committee. She is a facilitator for new APPs in the institution’s Transition to Practice program. She also serves as a mentor for new APPs.
