My background is in distributed systems and event streaming. I have spent a lot of time working with various databases - I am a DBA for MongoDB and heavily use PostgreSQL, MySQL, Bigtable, and DynamoDB. In addition, I am also a heavy data warehouse user. Solving the real-time data integration problem truly lies at the intersection of my interests and strengths.

Prior to building Artie, I ran the Growth organization at Opendoor and before that I worked in the Platform and Martech teams at Zendesk and Outbound.io. When I was the lead engineer at Outbound.io, a marketing automation tool that was eventually acquired by Zendesk, I designed their system to leverage Google Bigtable to handle over 14B events and 250M user profiles. At Zendesk, I also filed 3 patents related to the event streaming and segmentation space.
