Ryan Bevin is a PhD student at Queen's University Belfast studying embedded hardware security. The project title is "Efficient RISC-V Chips with Future-proof Security", so he is looking specifically at the standardised Post-Quantum Cryptography algorithms and attempting to make one or more of these more efficient using the open source RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture. He has Industrial experience in embedded software engineering and loves video games! Especially DOOM (1993). Ryan studied a MEng honours in Electronic Engineering at Ulster University before working for 5 years.
