As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in recruitment, performance management, productivity tools, decision-making and everyday workplace processes, organisations need more than AI adoption strategies. They need practical governance frameworks that protect people, manage risk and enable responsible innovation.

This session will explore how organisations can develop and implement responsible AI policies that address transparency, human oversight, data protection, bias, accountability, employee use of AI tools and AI-related workforce risks. It will examine these issues through an African workplace context, recognising the realities of different levels of digital maturity, skills availability and organisational capacity.
