Sustainable architecture and development: The keys to avoiding tomorrow’s disaster

In Power Platform, it’s easy to fall into “demo mode.” An app that works, a couple of flows, and a solution that looks ready. The problem shows up months later, when hard-to-diagnose issues appear, changes break supposedly “independent” components, and technical debt builds up that no one saw coming.

In this session, we’ll look at the real difference between careless development and development that remains sustainable over time. We’ll discuss how to design with evolution in mind, how to implement a minimal system for error logging and traceability, and which practices help keep Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse sustainable once they reach production.

The core idea is simple: assume everything will fail or change, and design to detect issues early, isolate the impact, and recover quickly.
