Threat Modeling Speed Challenge

In this interactive, hands on challenge, I will guide participants through a series of real world architecture scenarios and challenge them to uncover threats within a limited timeframe. (I will bring the printouts with me , no laptop is needed)Participants will work individually or in small groups to analyze architecture diagrams representing systems such as AI chatbots, banking APIs, SaaS platforms, cloud-native applications, and CI/CD pipelines. Each challenge is designed to be completed in approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Participants will identify assets, trust boundaries, attack surfaces, potential threats, and realistic attack paths. This POD is designed as a drop in experience, meaning allowing attendees to join at any time, complete one or multiple challenges, compare findings with peers, and learn how security practitioners approach threat identification and risk prioritization. Beginners can learn the fundamentals of threat modeling, while experienced practitioners can dive deeper into business logic abuse, supply chain risks, cloud attacks, identity threats, and emerging AI security challenges. Participants will leave with practical threat modeling techniques and a repeatable framework they can immediately apply in architecture reviews, design discussions, secure development activities, and security champion programs.
