A.I. from an Academic's Perspective

Brian Collins is a former Walt Disney Imagineer, a futurist, and now, a full time instructor at the University of Central Florida. He is an authority on new and emerging technologies and, as a full-time instructor at the University of Central Florida, lectures about the impact of A.I. virtually every week.

The challenges A.I. poses to education are deep and real, and will continue to grow and an alarmingly fast pace. From student's use, to professors and instructors adapting the technology, to research, there isn't an area of the academic world that has not already been...and will continue to be...affected.

In this lighthearted but very serious discussion, Brian challenges his audience to think: Could our next schools be run by robots? Could new types of immersive environments turn into the next type of school? Will generative A.I. eliminate the need for certain degrees?

It may not be as crazy as it seems, and the academic world, which already has it's head spinning, needs to ask these questions and really look far into the future...that isn't really that far away after all...

Perfect for professors, instructors, K-12 teachers, administrators, or anyone in the academic space!
