This session explores how vocational training empowers young women in rural Sindh, Pakistan, enabling them to achieve decent work, economic independence, and community leadership. Drawing on case studies, data, and success stories from 254 women trained in tailoring and beauty trades, the session highlights practical strategies for gender-responsive skill development programs, their alignment with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth), and the broader implications for youth empowerment and sustainable economic development. Participants will engage in storytelling, interactive discussions, and evidence-based insights to learn how to implement and scale effective vocational programs in diverse socio-cultural contexts.
