GitHub Copilot is more than an autocomplete tool, when used correctly, it becomes a powerful development partner. In this session, I’ll demonstrate how to build real-world applications using GitHub Copilot inside Visual Studio Code.

We’ll look at how to guide Copilot effectively, structure prompts, review generated code, and avoid common pitfalls. The focus is not on demos that magically work, but on realistic development scenarios: scaffolding applications, refactoring code, handling edge cases, and keeping control as a developer.

Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of where Copilot adds value today, where it doesn’t, and how to integrate it responsibly into their daily development workflow.
