Agile Tools for a Post-Agile World: Adapting Agile Tools for OTS Projects
Agile-analysis techniques like incremental analysis and Minimum-Marketable-Features (MMF) were designed to get early versions of a solution in front of customers ASAP in order to validate value. The presumed context is a solution so innovative, customers won’t know what they want till they see it. Today, however, most analysis work takes place in a “post-agile” world characterized by OTS solutions with known capabilities. This workshop examines whether agile tools still fit this reality and when legacy techniques may be more effective. Drawing on real-world experience and guidance from The Agile Guide to Business Analysis, participants explore practical ways to tailor agile practices for OTS, reinforced through case studies and hands-on workshops.
You’ll learn:
• How to adapt agile-analysis practices for OTS projects
• How to perform OTS fit-gap analysis using a hybrid analysis approach incorporating use cases
• How to use agile tools to plan the configuration, testing and deployment of an OTS solution.
