Jumpstarting your Feedback Culture. How to drive a Feedback Culture

Feedback is an extremely powerful way of building trust in teams, boosting team- and personal growth, getting team members to open up to each other and building great products. However, for many developers, managers and even Scrum Masters, feedback is still something that we shy away from and makes us feel uncomfortable. I’m on a mission to change that. Over the past years I’ve been investing heavily in learning and reading about feedback (e.g. Radical Candor, Non-violent Communication, Good Authority, The Feedback Imperative…), as well as practically working on this skill. Additionally, I have been experimenting with my teams, as well as within the rest of the organization, with different workshops and models to build team cultures where feedback is actively practiced and embraced. In this presentation, I would like to share an incredibly powerful model (the accountability dial) on giving feedback, how to give great compliments, as well as share a ‘roadmap’ on building feedback culture into your teams and share my experience and results with that. I also share how I apply the aforementioned in the remote setting that most of us are now in.
