Session
Stronger Together - The Ukraine Crisis
N50, a private sector consortium led by Intel, Dell, American Tower and others donated and, through their Geeks Without Frontiers program office, rapidly delivered 10 Portable Connectivity Centers to World Vision International-selected locations in Romania and Ukraine.
Partner support and collaborations were essential to identify production facilities in Krakow, mitigate global supply chain issues and identify local Eurpean Union professional services partners to help build test, deploy and operate the PCCs. This all happenned six weeks after N50 commissioned the project!
Geeks without Frontiers, with Computer Aid International, was only able accomplish this because of the support and collaboration recieved from World Vision US, Intel, Dell, World Wide Data, Exclusive Networks, NetHope, Cisco, UNHCR and others. Global challenges are far too great to act independently. This session is intended to demonstrate the power of partnerships to rapidly achieve substantial measurable impact .
The speakers will share their contributions and experiences and draw upon the attendees’ views and feedback to enhance the partner collaboration model. The discussion will primarily benefit NetHope members engaged in humanitarian response and resiliency projects for marginalized communities where infrastructure is lacking, unreliable and challenging. A Lesson's Learned paper will be developed as a result of this session.
