Based on experiences working with Microsoft IoT live in the field for a couple of years we have created a solution that although the architecture might not follow the Microsoft blueprint does make heavy use of Microsoft Azure services and works well based on requirements such as stability, low maintenance needs, cost efficiency, data availability, agility and performance. I will walk you through the story of how we got started, some of the early mistakes we made, the stages through which we progressed and what the solution looks like today. Although this story will include discussions on overall development practices and maturity the focus will be technical and targeting the use of Microsoft Azure services.
