Building the AI-Native Cloud

The tools changed quietly. Most teams haven't noticed yet.

This talk walks through the shift from cloud-native to AI-native delivery - not as a feature rollout, but as a fundamental operating model change.

We'll explore the six-stage loop that defines AI-native engineering, examine how spec-driven development and context engineering are replacing old workflows, and map the new relationship between humans and agents on modern platform teams.

Along the way, we'll tackle the hard stuff: reliability when agents are invisible, security when agents are a new identity class, and governance that must be designed in from day one - not bolted on after an incident.

We'll close with seven failure modes to pattern-match now, a one-page memo you can implement on Monday, and three questions you won't be able to un-ask.

What you'll leave with:
- A vocabulary to locate your team on the AI-native maturity map
- A definition of AI-native you can hold a team accountable to
- Practical frameworks for trust-first delivery in an agentic world

"When the same trust standard is used throughout the loop, AI becomes a force multiplier. Without that standard, AI becomes a force multiplier for risk." [Says me]
