Creating actions in Power BI with Power Apps/Automate – Full Day
We want Power BI users to “see” and “understand” their data, and we want them to be able to take “action” on their data. With the use of Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Automate, you can make the action easy. Users will never have to leave the report. What could be better than that?
In this pre-con event, we will review real life examples of actionable Apps IN a Power BI report. All the examples will be using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics GP, but the concepts will carry over regardless of your data source. This is to see some different methods up updating/writing to different data sources.
In this course, we will be:
• Creating a table in Dataverse
• Creating 2 reports with Dataverse data
• Building Canvas Power App that reads and updates the data
• Attach the Canvas to both Power BI reports
• Build some Power Automate flows
• Add Power Automate flows to the Power BI Report
Let’s get our #CitizenDeveloper on!
Requirements:
• Basic Power BI Skills
• Notebook with the latest version Power BI Desktop installed
• No Power Apps & Power Automated skills are necessary
• Enthusiasm for learning
