Representative Diversity and Inclusion is slowly gaining prevalence in technical industries such as Healthcare IT. Through experiential knowledge, we will explore topics of how Diversity and Inclusion can become woven into a Cerner's culture through a technical and empathic lens. In this discussion we will challenge how to leverage innovation while also making compassion and empathy interoperable. Tangible utility can be created for the most technical and least technical teams---we've explored methods of questioning how to move towards improving diversity and inclusion both personally and professionally. From this discussion, we hope participants will be better positioned to make measurable progress in bringing about sustainable change regarding nuanced, inter-related topics such as product development, self development and consciousness in our workforce.
