Code compliance checks done by hand, parking layouts redrawn for every variant, façades remodelled at each design change: architecture is full of repetitive work that eats into design time. In this session, I share how I use AI to build my own automation tools for ArchiCAD, as an architect rather than a software developer.

Through real projects and demos, I’ll walk through tools I’ve developed this way: automated compliance checks against Swiss building standards, a parking layout solver, an apartment layout generator and parametric façade studios connected directly to the model. I’ll also show how AI can now talk to ArchiCAD and other software, closing the loop across the whole workflow, and what that changes in the way we design.

You’ll leave with a clear picture of what can realistically be automated today, where to start, and the pitfalls to avoid when bringing these tools into a firm.
