KeyNote Speaker at First Linux Conference in India
Scripting Languages for Application Integration.
In this talk, we will explore the ubiquitous nature of scripting languages and their use in application integration. Specifically, we will focus on how scripting languages such as HTML, Perl CGI, TCL TK, and Expect can be leveraged to create dynamic web-based user interfaces for applications. Through the use of two real-world examples, we will showcase how this technique can be used to enhance application development and integration. The first example involves an application developed by the R&D division of Tata Unisys for a Language Processing tool that automatically converts WFL scripts to PERL. The second example showcases an application that analyzes data flow through COBOL programs and uses this information to identify all affected dates, along with an automated remediation step.
