Artificial vs. Natural Intelligence: Leverage neuroscience principles to improve data storytelling

AI may be the topic of the moment, but let’s not forget NI: Natural Intelligence. Our focus in this session is not ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot – it’s your brain! For example, do you wonder why some people just “get it” when you show them data or talk to them about data? And why others have dazed looks on their faces? The answer probably lies in the four thinking styles that both join and separate us. Attend this session to learn more about how our brains work and why understanding more about thinking styles that are different from yours can make you a better data storyteller. We’ll leverage neuroscience principles to understand what tends to block communication and as we explore diverse thinking styles, we’ll come to appreciate that when people think differently it’s not just good, it's necessary!
