Session
Hands-on Workshop: Artificial vs. Natural Intelligence: Use your head!
AI may be the topic of the moment, but let’s not forget NI – Natural Intelligence! Our focus in this session is less on ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot than on your brain. We’ll explore neuroscience principles we can apply to ourselves and to our interactions with others, and we’ll uncover reasons why appreciating diverse thinking styles isn’t just nice, it’s essential.
Next, we’ll apply our neuro knowledge to something BAs have been doing since the first stakeholder interview was conducted: creating prompts for interacting with people. We’ll experiment to determine whether we can refine our “human prompts” to achieve better results. Finally, we’ll return to AI and use our new knowledge of the brain to craft better prompts for LLMs.
During the workshop we’ll cover the walls with sticky notes, practice prompting each other, and generate neuro-enhanced prompts on our favorite LLMs. Bring a laptop!

Key takeaways
-- Prompt engineering may sound like a new thing but BAs and PMs have been doing it for years
-- We all have a brain; let’s learn to use it more effectively
-- Diverse thinking styles are a good thing when we leverage them to collaborate more effectively
The only technical requirements for this session are plenty of smooth wall space to post sticky notes and active wifi.
The neuro content of this session holds something for everyone and there are numerous "aha" moments every time I discuss these topics with attendees.
