Architecture Reviews with LASR

In this hands-on introduction workshop to LASR - the Lightweight Approach for Software Reviews - you evaluate a real software system in a haptic way. You get to know which review approaches exist to evaluate software systems and architectures, you see how LASR fits in and experience how it works. After this session you are prepared to use this open method on your own.

Background: LASR uses a deck of cards that includes quality attributes and typical risk areas of software development. Teams use these cards to prioritize architectural requirements and evaluate a system. After a few hours they have identified risks, quantified quality gaps and collaboratively created an overview of the systems quality status. All necessary materials are available under creative commons license.

The session is based on the book "Reviewing Software Systems - with the Lightweight Approach for Software Reviews" and includes findings of the growing LASR community.
