This talk is a production story of improving Android performance by around 30% using practical performance engineering techniques, not just theoretical concepts.

I will share my real-world experience of working on a rider management app for food delivery and q-commerce, where performance directly impacted rider efficiency, order completion time, user experience, and overall business outcomes.

The session will cover how we approached performance optimization in production: identifying slow flows, measuring app behavior with Firebase Performance Monitoring, using Macrobenchmarking to evaluate critical user journeys, applying Microbenchmarking for specific code-level improvements, and improving startup and runtime performance with Baseline Profiles.

Instead of presenting benchmarking and profiling as isolated Android tools, this talk will focus on how these techniques were applied together in a real product environment, what challenges we faced, what worked well, what did not, and how performance improvements translated into measurable business impact.
