For a growing company like Neo4j, educating and empowering developers and data scientists is crucial.

Over the past three years, we’ve rebuilt GraphAcademy, our free training platform, using modern web technologies to create a more engaging, hands-on learning experience. In this talk, I’ll discuss why we undertook this transformation, how we approached the “build vs. buy” decision, and the data-driven methods we used to design our curriculum.

I’ll cover how we identified different learning personas, the ways developers learn, and how we tailored GraphAcademy to meet their needs. I’ll also share insights from our experiments with generative AI to improve the learning experience, including successes and lessons learned when those experiments were less than successful.
