We go together: Working in Open Source projects
Have you ever tried contributing to an Open Source project? It can often be an overwhelming experience! There is a lot going on, hard to know where to start. People all around are creating issues, pushing code, while you struggle to get any attention or help.
If you wanna go fast, go alone.
It may take some time to get started in an Open Source project. This is natural. The communication is mostly asynchronous. People are located in different time zones. Some work on the project as a hobby, others as part of their job.
But this does not mean that it has to be hard. You just need a little bit of patience.
So good, so far, we go together.
Sometimes, you need a bird's-eye view. This is the session for that! We will go through how the contribution process usually works, common pitfalls and things to be aware of.
How do Open Source projects work and why?
If you wanna go far: We go together!
