Are the rubber ducks getting smarter?
As developers, we often run into solutions of our problems while trying to explain it - in our sleep or even to something else - this is called rubber ducking. These days we have tools like ChatGPT that do even more than that - giving you outright suggestions that you can go try out, but can we take it even further?
Rubber ducking has been a common practice among developers - simple yet powerful way to clarify thoughts, by explaining problems to an inanimate object - or to yourself. But what happens if the rubber ducks starts talking back?
Tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot have transformed the way developers approach problem-solving and coding, acting as smarter "rubber ducks" that provide code suggestions and answer questions. As these technologies evolve, we are forced to look into what the next evolution could have in store for us.
In this talk, I'll be introducing AI Agents, what they are, how they differ from the tools mentioned above, their impact on developer workflows when our rubber duck can now take actions on our behalf.
The audience is expected to leave with a better understanding of what is now possible today, how they can start using it to build applications and more.
