Prototyping a CDK for Azure
While we've seen the CDK product family grown to three major products with the AWS CDK, CDK for Kubernetes and the Terraform CDK, it's usually a more or less complete product which is being released to the public. But what does it actually mean to build your own CDK for X from scratch?
Let's take a look at Armkit, which is a very early stage prototype CDK for the Azure Resource Manager. Due to it's early stage, it's a perfect example to look at the internals and components of what drives all CDKs: CodeMaker, Jsii and Constructs. We'll look into patterns and challenges around transforming a given schema into fully functional code - ready to synthesize your configuration.
Be aware, after this session you'll likely want to CDKify all the things :)
