Designing a multi-brain Service Mesh

The Service Mesh is responsible for connecting services safely and transparently, keeping the traffic management policies up to date in a very dynamic environment. In a mesh, its brain, a.k.a Control Plane, is responsible for watching the whole environment and configuring each component. The Control Plane usually operates as a master management component, which difficulties its replacement. In this session, we delve into the journey of designing and maintaining a multi-brain Service Mesh, highlighting the challenges and the “AHA moments” of the replacement of the Control Plane.
