"Thank you, we have received your inquiry". Stream processing in SQL Server
Your servers get millions of requests per day, but does all this data need to be processed immediately? Sometimes it can wait.
Delayed processing of relational data can simplify your application and bring down the cost of your infrastructure. However, it comes with its own set of challenges.
We will talk about the technologies that help with stream-based processing of data in SQL Server:
* Queues and event streams
* Lambda and kappa architectures
* ROWVERSION-based streams
* SQL Server Service Broker and SQL Server Agent
* Stream processing solutions outside SQL (Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, etc.)
The talk will be concluded with a showcase of a real problem and its solution.
