Tech Connect: Building an Ambassador Program

Join this session for insight on set strategies for user engagement, soft skill expansion, and M365 adoption with your users. Learn how UT Dallas developed and evolved the Microsoft Ambassador Program to include various technologies from the M365 suite by incentivizing participants with badges, certifications and micro-credentials.

he Microsoft Ambassador program, launched in Spring 2021 at the University of Texas at Dallas, was a groundbreaking initiative born from the students’ desire for enhanced support during their shift to remote and hybrid learning environments. It became clear that a cohesive systematic approach of peer mentoring and long-term guidance would have the greatest impact, create a ripple effect in empowering others to provide IT assistance and offer long-term solutions by elevating the knowledge and skills of the student body.

Our comprehensive review of IT help desk tickets, student surveys, and collaboration with the campus student career center revealed a significant opportunity: to enhance our students’ soft skills, which are crucial for a seamless transition to college life and beyond. This insight has been pivotal in shaping our program to ensure that our students are not only academically prepared but also equipped with the essential skills for success in the modern world.

Discover the transformative power of an ambassador program to bolster the adoption and understanding of M365 products among your users. I’m thrilled to unveil proven strategies, thoughtful product selection, and dynamic methods to amplify engagement and participation. Join me in exploring how to harness the potential of ambassadorship to drive meaningful change and foster a community of M365 experts.
