From Zero to Fabric Apps: Automated Transformation and Deployment with Rayfin

Fabric is the new holistic data platform in your company – and you are facing countless existing reports, evaluations, and dashboards in various notebooks and repositories that now need to be migrated and connected. Sooner rather than later.

In this hands-on session, we do exactly that: we transform contents of existing repositories into a ready-to-use Microsoft Fabric App – from scratch, on stage. We start by examining different types of input projects to transform their existing code and data with the help of off-the-shelf frontier models. With Rayfin's open source SDK and CLI we create the project scaffold, derive the SQL schema, and deploy the result live to Azure as a Fabric App with a single command.

That sounds simple, but what actually happens when the underlying schema in Fabric changes, and how can you ensure a clean, repeatable re-deployment with Rayfin?

In summary, this session shows how to structure, transform, and deploy existing code repositories into a Fabric App in an fully automated way and why "Schema-as-Code" is important for Fabric SQL databases.
