During my three years working on the Design System at the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket), one of our challenges have been to make all our UI-components accessible.
Through research and usability testing we discovered that one of our most used components needed some refactoring.
In this talk I will describe the refactoring process - from gathering requirements to the rollout - and show before and after images of how the component changed and explain why we made those changes.
