Software Architecture Documentation Finally Becomes Fun

For decades, software architecture documentation has been a tedious chore. If documentation exists at all, it is often outdated and hidden away in some wiki that nobody reads.

Today, we finally have all the tools we need to change that. In this session, I demonstrate how combining proven templates, docs-as-code, and AI agents enables the rapid creation of high-quality documentation—including diagrams—and keeps it up to date over time. Participants will be able to apply the presented approach directly in their own projects afterwards, regardless of whether they are starting from scratch or documenting existing systems.
