Session
Digital Experience Composition Platforms and the composable web.
Platform engineers build platform tools, services, and products. But who operates those platforms? Digital teams with technical team members that don't write code are often involved and make meaningful contributions to digital platforms. However, they often depend on the developer backlogs to contribute.
This dependency is slow and inefficient. In a world where experiences are interconnected, omnichannel, and expectations are high, there is a lot of pressure to build a better web and platforms.
This talk will explore platform reference architectures, architecture patterns, examples, lessons learned, and how to solve those ‘around-the-corner’ problems and pains felt when building platforms on top of microservices, API-first, cloud, and headless sources.
The audience will learn the following:
The old way and what we’ve learned. The new method for digital teams.
How to build platforms that enable non-developer audiences to be builders.
Headless/composable customer stories and results
This talk is geared toward digital engineering and marketing leaders.
