Activating Angular's Reactive Core
Reactivity is a cornerstone of Angular - it enables developers to build complex, interactive applications with efficiency and elegance. The landscape of reactivity has significantly evolved in Modern Angular and choosing the right tool can feel challenging. Traditionally, RxJS has been the backbone of Angular’s reactive programming model by offering powerful mechanisms for handling asynchronous data streams and state management. The introduction of Signals has resulted in a new, simpler, and more efficient way to handle reactivity. We will dive deep into Angular’s ever-evolving reactive core and explore how Signals provide an alternate approach to state management, change detection, and component reactivity.
By looking at several practical scenarios, we’ll examine the nuances of when to use Signals versus Observables. By the end of this talk, you’ll understand how to choose the right tool for each reactive task, and how to build faster, more scalable Angular applications with ease.
