Weaving a Data Mesh with Microsoft Fabric

In today's world, organizations are grappling with the challenge of managing a vast amount of data. To address this challenge, they are transitioning from traditional IT-centric data architectures to more federated models that are organized according to business needs. This new federated data architecture is called data mesh, which is a decentralized approach that organizes data by specific business domains. For instance, marketing, sales, and human resources are some of the domains that data can be organized into.

You will learn how Microsoft Fabric's data mesh architecture primarily supports organizing data into domains and enabling data consumers to filter and find content by domain. It also enables federated governance, which allows some governance that is currently controlled at the tenant level to be delegated to domain-level control. This enables each business unit/department to define its own rules and restrictions according to its specific business needs.

Microsoft Engineer from the FastTrack for Azure team will deliver this session based on the experiences of working with customers since the private preview.
It will be updated with the latest information on Microsoft Fabric at the time of the event.
