Have you heard about Data Activator? The new kid on the block in Microsoft Fabric. It’s a tool where you can monitor numbers and events, set thresholds, and react when those thresholds are broken.

In this session we will dive into Data Activator and its items Reflexes. We will explain what it is, and what it isn’t.

Then there is demo time. The demo will have three components. First, we will talk about (and show) how to monitor different types of data. We will show how to monitor a number in a Power BI Report and then we will show hot to monitor a stream of data.

The second part of the demo will focus on setting up the Reflex item. Here we will show how to set thresholds and work with different types of checks.

The third part of the demo will focus on reacting to the events when the threshold is broken. We will show simple emails and how to use Power Automate to make complex workflows based on events.

The last part of the session we will look at how Data Activator impacts the capacity and thereby how much it costs.

At the end of the session the audience will know more about what Data Activator is and how they might be able to use it in their own environment
