Building a Unified Name Space for driving I4.0 transformation
UNS is a mechanism for manufacturing companies to transform their landscape to an even driven , loosely coupled architecture. This is a fundamental foundation for driving Industry 4.0 transformation.
I will explain the concept of UNS, potential architectural variants and my attempt of building one using opensource software for MQTT, K8s, Timeseries DB, Graph DB.
I evaluated the following technologies for building my prototype and will share my learning
1. K3s vs MicroK8s
2. HiveMQ, Mosquitto, VerneMQ, Emqx
3. Influx , TimescaleDb
4.Telelegraf , MQTT Plugin, Serverless
5. GraphDB ( still being evaluated)
