Session
Beyond coding and modeling, it's time for designing!
Before constructing a building, a blueprint is designed. Why should our Power BI and Microsoft Fabric projects be any different? In our day-to-day work, we immerse ourselves in DAX, Python, data flows, and pipelines, but we often forget the fundamental step: visualising the complete picture.
In this session, we will explore tools that will help us create that ‘building plan.’ We will discover the versatility of Draw.io, the collaborative and whiteboard approach of Excalidraw, and the power of Azure Diagrams for visualising official infrastructures.
In addition, we will see how we can define diagrams as code with Mermaid and integrate these tools into our development environment with Visual Studio Code extensions.
The goal is clear; for you to leave with the ideas you need to design and document your solutions, creating a solid and understandable foundation that marks both the beginning of our solutions and evolves with them and complements them.
Theoretical demonstration session on useful tools for designing architectures to be implemented or reflecting current ecosystems within the world of Power BI and Fabric.
