Hidden gems at Fabric: optimizing both processes and consumption
Within Microsoft Fabric, performance isn’t just about execution speed; computational efficiency is essential for optimizing and ensuring the stability of our ecosystem. Nothing is more dangerous than a set of inefficient processes whose resource consumption jeopardizes other workloads or forces us to scale our capacity prematurely. To address this, in this session we’ll break down real-world use cases to highlight the “hidden gems” at our disposal that reduce Capacity Unit (CU) consumption. Through various demonstrations, we’ll explore optimization strategies covering the main available experiences, including Power BI, Dataflows, Data Factory, and Spark. The goal: to equip you with the techniques and recommendations that will allow you to implement improvements and control consumption in your environment without sacrificing performance, thereby ensuring better overall performance.
A hands-on demonstration of existing features in Microsoft Fabric, using practical examples to help you understand these capabilities and put them into practice.
